August 28, 2003A delegation of 8 international businessmen and officials, led by CommerceNet Singapore Chairman, Dr. Toh See Kiat arrived in Lahore on the 1st August on a business mission to Pakistan. The delegation included the following participants:

The delegation met the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority officials and attended Trade Seminar & Meetings at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry hall. Delegates had a business networking session with various exporters, followed by visits to the textile and food industries. They later proceeded to visit officials at the Lahore University of Management & Sciences. The delagation visited some of the tourist attractions namely the Badshahi Mosque, Lahore Fort and the Shalamar Garden.
The delegation visited the Ministry of Commerce in Islamabad on the 4th August followed by meetings with the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry. They later proceeded to met Dr. Ataur Rehman, Incharge Minister for Science & Technology and Chairman of the Higher Education Commission. They also had meetings with the Chairman of the Board of Investment and the Chairman of Privatization Commission.
The delegation arrived in Karachi on the 6th August and visited the Export Promotion Bureau Display Center and had business meetings with the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau. The delegation later met officials from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry. Delegates also had the opportunity to visit the Karachi Stock Exchange followed by match making meetings which were held at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The delegation left for Singapore on the 8th August.
