[ 19 March 2001 ] CommerceNet Singapore CEO’s Message to ITCN Asia 2001 Delegates
March 19, 2003[ 19 – 20 April 2003 ] CNSG’s CEO Attends 1st International Conference on Investment and Privatization (ICIP) in OIC Countries
April 20, 2003As part of the industry initiatives to check the rising business cost in Singapore, CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) had started arranging affordable as well as subsidised office premises for technopreneurs. The pilot project will start of with furnished offices that allow technopreneurs to ‘set-up shop’ immediately without struggling with renovations and purchases of office equipment. CNSG had innovatively collected office furnitures, second-hand but perfectly functional computers, cabinets, shelves, partitions, workstations.
The programme, unlike that of commercial serviced offices, focus to keep frills to a minimum. The result is that the furnised premises may even go cheaper than bare-bone JTC factory space. The pilot initiative, if successful, should be able to take up many of the empty offices currently found in various office buildings in strategic but less popular places downtown. CNSG’s focus is to include industry suppliers, service providers etc. to participate meaningfully into the programme. Emphasis will be placed on using wireless LAN for all CNSG’s coordinated premises under this programme. The response to this pilot programme will be closely monitored.
