CommerceNet Singapore and Korean Institute of E-Commerce (KIEC) have agreed to move towards a common platform to cooperate. Both parties agree to work towards a MOU in middle of July as a launching pad to the broader cooperation framework. The areas of cooperation include the sharing of information and experience in e-learning development and implementation, the development and implementation of trust marks, and awards to excellent e-commerce companies. Also in the pipeline are ideas for joint research, business networking and exchange programme.
CommerceNet Singapore views the enhanced relationship with KIEC as strongly complimentary to the existing strong relationship CommerceNet Singapore has forged with global partner CommerceNet Korea. Both CommerceNet Singapore and Korea are currently in a discussion to participate meaningfully in a global trust mark implementation in Korea, and do not exclude the possibility of implementing the CaseTrust trust mark with KIEC.
The timing of the MOU is scheduled in mid-July to precede the CommerceNet Asia global meeting in Taipei, Taiwan. CommerceNet Singapore will be briefing fellow global partners on the latest development on projects status.
