April 9, 1999CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) was invited by iDA to deliver a presentation on the various CNSG Industry Programmes that were available to assist all companies in the Infocomm Local Industry Upgrading Programme (iLIUP). iLIUP aims to accelerate the development of infocomm capability of Singapore Enterprises for international market competition; and enhance Infocomm market share and revenue for the mutual benefits of Multinational Corporations and Singapore.
CNSG CEO, Mr.Wong Jeh Shyan briefed all iLIUP Managers on the various industry pilots, ePayment/Merchants Seeding programmes, Global Reliability Programme/Trustmarks, Pervasive SMS Apps, Next Generation Internet/Internet II, Post-Graduate Curriculum Development Programme, Talents Repository Programme, CNSG Industry Assistance Programme (CIAP) and the Regional Market Access Programme.
Mr.Wong stated that CNSG is a highly independent, proactive and member-centric industry consortium, with a very special focus on enhancing members’ and their strategic partners’ bottom-line and market development. CNSG is best tapped for her continued relevance and industry-oriented assistance programmes. The feedback from the iLIUP Managers was excellent. Many were impressed with
the assistance provided by CNSG.
