November 29, 2001The CNSG and Gridnode Breakfast Seminar was held at the Goodwood Park Hotel and a total of 80 participants from the IT industry attended the seminar. The theme touches on the cost-effective RosettaNet solutions possibilities; factors to consider in outsourcing inbound inventory management; and issues in persuading trading partners to trade online.
Mr.Frank Ng, Senior Business Development Manager gave the audience an overview of P2P and GridNode very own P2P software known as GridTalk. He stressed on the significance of business collaboration through P2P and the benefits of using GridTalk.
After an interesting session with Mr. Ng, Mr. Adrian Kok, Software Architect from GridNode spoke on the evolutions of XML and introduced RosettaNet. Mr. Kok discussed about the practical issues when implementing RosettaNet. He also spoke on the ablility of GridTalk to interface with other GridTalk-enabled, as well as non-GridTalk RosettaNet server.
The final speaker Mr. Leong Kah Keong, Director of Professional Services talked about disintegration of supply chain and hi-tech manufacturing scenarios, including VMI. He addressed practical issues faced with VMI implementation and how GridTalk made the VMI process more efficient.
