[ 7 March 2000 ] CommerceNet Singapore announces new CEO
March 7, 2000[ 12 – 14 March 2001 ] CommerceNet Korea’s Member Digiweb Visits CommerceNet Singapore
March 12, 2000Greetings. March is a very active month for CommerceNet Singapore. After having just celebrated our Second Anniversary, we are back to the scheduled activities for the month.
We are scheduled to have our seminar, breakfast talk, Internet happy hours, and preparation for our board of directors’ meeting this month.
We are strategically re-positioning and strengthening ourselves as the industry-initiated and led consortium of companies interested or involved in eCommerce. Our strong adherence to our mission to promote eCommerce, and to make it Ubiquitous, Easy and Trusted, had effectively transformed us as Singapore’s de facto Chamber of eCommerce. Our staff, consultative partners and members had been giving us very strong support, fully engaging and actively participating in a number of task force projects as well as attending many of the events organised by us.
I look forward to the continued support by the members and the board to tackle the challenges that lie ahead in my new role CommerceNet Singapore’s CEO.
Task Force
Many of you are aware that we are pushing ahead the task force programmes initiated last year.
We are in the process of formalising every task force to propel the initiated projects forward.
We are also pushing for industry’s contribution, compiling resources available for each of the task
force, and networking interested third parties into the team. We are also scheduled to officially
launch Institute of E-Commerce (IoEC) before the middle of the year. Other initiatives would be
announced as and when arises.
