July 4, 2000In the inaugural event of CommerceNet Singapore’s Internet Payment Series, Mr. David Stroll shares his experience in the IT industry both in the US and Europe. As a consultant he was part of the team who created the first global payments service building on the development work of the FSTC with the US Treasury and Federal Reserve. He founded Clareon Corporation in March 2000 with Mr.Paul Walsh, and is currently responsible for International Business Development.
In “Building Business Communities”, Clareon presented a situation analysis of the state of e-payment today. The value of a business community and e-payments services issues for the global business community are addressed. The questions on standards for the global business community and what is the next action agenda was deliberated.
Mr. David Stroll has considerable experience in the IT industry both in the US and Europe. Whilst at Digital Equipment Corporation he was involved in the first generation of office systems including one of the first commercial email products. Later he led the team which specified the on line transaction processing system. In Europe he was a key member of the team who developed the Financial Services business on a pan European basis and then set up and managed the Media Business Unit. As a consultant he was part of the team who created the first global payments service building on the development work of the FSTC with the US Treasury and Federal Reserve.
