May 3, 2001[ 24 July 2002 ] CNSG – GridNode Breakfast Seminar “Deriving Business Value from Web Services and RosettaNet”
July 24, 2001The 2001 Singapore e-Awards was a very special occasion. The event was held at the Westin Stamford and Westin Plaza on May 9, 2001. It was a timely event as the e-Award has been seen as rewarding those e-busineses that have grown and thrived in the eMillennium.

The event is a successful joint-collaboration between ec.Think and CommerceNet Singapore to recognise key players that contribute to the growth of Singapore’s eEconomy. It has also gained strong support from Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA). More importantly, sponsorships by local and international companies, individuals and other institutions had put e-Awards firmly on track and made the event a prestigious one.

The e-Award 2001ceremony was well-attended and it was officially opened by Mr Lim Swee Say, Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology. He also presented the awards to the five winners in the various categories selected for their ability to transform their business to e-business:
1. e- Insurer – American International Assurance (AIA) Singapore
2. e-Logistics – Neptune Orient Lines
3. e-Bank – OCBC Bank
4. e-Travel – Asiatravel.com
5. e-Distributor – Singapore Food Industries

CNSG will continue to organise and support initiatives like these and will work closely with ec.Think on worthy projects of this nature.
