March 16, 2005CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) is seven years old. From the humble beginning of just an industry membership-based consortium pushing standards and promoting eCommerce, CNSG had matured into a powerful industry lobby. We continue to aspire to be industry’s voice and champion.
The initial mission worldwide was to make eCommerce easy, trusted and ubiquitous. Today, the mission had grown towards sustaining market initiatives that promote security, innovations and develop human, intellectual, financial and cultural capitals within the self-sustaining enterprise ecosystems. CNSG will remain as a not-for-profit organisation. The global consortium of business partners will continue to organise resources from the industry, plans and executes key strategies. CNSG has been involved actively in initiatives that pioneer and advance tomorrow’s technology, today. CNSG will also keep up a strategic role as a key influencer, encouraging innovation and driving progress. CNSG will continue to exist to help industry players flourish through promoting industry self-regulation and encouraging enlightened government policy.
CNSG had thrived because of the efforts of countless partners and the secretariat support staff, and many other unsung heroes and heroines who have given of their time, effort and ideas without the thought of reward. We have come a long way, and we are relooking at each milestone and our new destinations. And on board we already have some of the brightest brains and the best company.
