November 11, 2000CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) stressed on the need for trusted framework between consumer and merchants or service providers to promote strong e-loyalty. Speaking at the 2-days ‘e-Loyalty Forum 2000’ was CNSG’s CEO Mr. Jeh Shyan Wong, ‘Boosting Consumer Confidence in e-Commerce’. Mr. Robert Neely, Director of CommerceNet Hong Kong/China (CNHK/China), chaired the 2-days event.
Mr. Wong touched on the promotion of consumer protection and personal data protection framework. He stressed that increased levels of transparencies are essential towards loyalty building and Customer Relationship Management. He shared with the delegates some practical issues in building trust framework, especially pertaining to implementing personal data protection framework in an increasingly globalised society. The impact of Safe Harbour implementation was also touched upon.
The event held at Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Hong Kong has attracted strong participation from key players from CRM, marketing and promotional professionals.
